The Victoria and Albert Museum and British Fashion Council hosted a drinks reception to celebrate the arrival of Britain Creates 2012: Fashion + Art Collusion, with speeches by Damien Whitmore (Director of Programming at the V&A) and Ruth MacKenzie (Director of the Cultural Olympiad) to officially open the exhibition.

All pieces were exhibited to the public at the V&A throughout the London 2012 Festival until 29th July, followed by an installation in Selfridges ‘Wonder Windows’ programme during July and August.

'Britain Creates 2012: Fashion & Art Collusion' is part of the London 2012 Festival, a spectacular 12-week nationwide celebration from 21st June and running until 9th September 2012, bringing together leading artists from across the world with the very best from the UK. The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are a celebration of excellence and performance and these partnerships have been commissioned to create pieces of work to reflect these special values.
